"Deadly Eyes" (1982) (Robert Clouse)
Cult(?) studio film director Robert Clouse (who usually shot for Warner Brothers; but here oddly produced by the Chinese film studio Golden Harvest) brings us giant, steroid-mutated rats attacking Toronto. A basketball coach teams up with a health inspector to find the rat's nest and destroy it before they mutate into unthinkable realms.
Clouse, who is usually mainly associated with "Enter The Dragon" and "Game Of Death", also directed a handful other (and more interesting for my money) films such as: the fun Joe Don Baker killer dogs film "The Pack" (1977), the post-apocalyptic/social chaos Yul Brynner starrer "The Ultimate Warrior", the Disney TV movie "The Kids Who Knew Too Much" (1980) (TV), the strange martial arts/fantasy/detective cross-culture concoction "Golden Needles" (1974), and of course the ridiculous gymnastics karate movie "Gymkata" (1985).
1982 / 87mins. / English Language / Color / USA
