Solid, sharp and still exciting little obscure atomic crime noir about an escaped convict who unknowingly endangers all of Los Angeles by carrying around a small steel container of a highly dangerous radioactive material in granular form; which he believes to be a jackpot package of heroin. Exposure to the container is slowly killing him, and those he comes in contact with, but oblivious to this he makes his way across the underbelly of LA trying to find a way to cash in on the imaginary heroin. Meanwhile, the cops put out a desperate citywide search to try and find him before he opens the container and dooms thousands or possibly millions to painful, sickening radiation deaths.
